Refund Policy

Last Updated:

1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for services purchased from Built For The Trade (ABN 12 513 574 833) (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By purchasing our services, you agree to this Refund Policy in addition to our Service Terms & Conditions.

2. General Policy

Due to the nature of our services, which involve time, resources, and allocation of production capacity, all payments are generally non-refundable, except as expressly set out in this Refund Policy or as required under applicable law.

3. Eligibility for Refunds (Pre-Commencement Only)

A refund may be issued only where:

  • you have purchased a website; and
  • no work has commenced on your project.

For the purposes of this Refund Policy, “work has commenced” includes, but is not limited to:

  • onboarding or project setup;
  • allocation of a template or system;
  • initial configuration or preparation of your website;
  • review of submitted content or assets; or
  • any internal work undertaken in preparation for your project.

If no work has commenced, you may request a refund by contacting us. Any refund under this clause is issued at our discretion.

4. No Refunds After Work Commences

Once work has commenced, no refunds will be issued, regardless of:

  • project progress;
  • change of mind;
  • delays caused by you; or
  • failure to provide required content or information.

5. No Refunds After Website Launch

Once your website has been completed and made live or published, no refunds will be provided under any circumstances, except where required by law.

6. Cooling-Off Period (Subscription Exit Only)

We offer a 30-day cooling-off period from the date of onboarding.

During this period:

  • you may cancel your subscription; and
  • your 12-month minimum term will be waived.

However:

  • no refunds will be issued for any payments already made; and
  • the cooling-off period applies only to future subscription obligations, not past payments.

After the 30-day period:

  • the full minimum term applies; and
  • early cancellation does not remove payment obligations.

7. Client Delays and Abandoned Projects

If you fail to provide required content or become unresponsive, this does not entitle you to a refund.

Projects may be paused, but:

  • payments remain payable; and
  • any amounts paid are non-refundable.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where required by law, we will provide remedies including refunds, repairs, or replacements.
